The MacHeist Nanobundle is here! At long last another load of goodies for practically nothing! You might remember we posted about the other macheist nanobundle earlier last year, which gave a fantastic bundle of applications… all for free! Ok so this time it’s not free, but come on $19.95 isn’t exactly expensive
For your money you get a copy of MacJournal (an offline blog editor which is also a diary system) RipIt which is a DVD ripping utility, Clips which is an incredible copy and paste solution, CoverScout which updates your iTunes library with coverart, Flow which is a fantastic FTP transfer application and more.
Once they reach 50 thousand downloads, Tales …

From around 6PM GMT tonight the server will experience extended downtime for a number of hours whilst I re-image the server from Debian, to CentOS. I’m doing this for a number of reasons, but it’s mainly to increase security and stability and make up for some of Debians shortcomings! Sorry about the inconvenience

We’ve finally launched our fresh new look! we know it’s a bold new design, but it also follows in the way of engadget, and ars technica. We’ve had nothing but positive reviews from it!

Well it finally happened, most of that objectionable content has now been taken down from the Appstore. Apparently this bold move was accompanied by lot’s of complaints from people who quite clearly didn’t see the age content warnings, and nor did they apparently know about the parental controls in their iPhones (hint, tap settings, restrictions and you can set your parental controls in there)
This hit a nerve for me in many respects, not least of which is the fact that, unbelievably, I am an adult. Whilst I don’t download pornography for the iPhone, I do use applications like Asylum, which is essentially an iPhone version of FHM. Similarly other mens …

So the mockup isn’t exactly very good, but it would be a whole lot easier if apple could do this for iPhone OS 4 and it’s applications. They don’t even have to run in background, just show push notifications from applications like mail, SMS, Facebook, twitter. It would be a whole lot easier when I pull the phone out of my pocket to see if there are things to deal with.

Over the last few days I’ve been sat playing with Readdle docs, one of the best looking applications for a while. We’ve reported on the updates before but we’ve never had a chance to finally review it until now.
Our first impressions simply didn’t disappoint. For those of you that don’t know, ReaddleDocs is a document manager system, allowing you to read, save and share email attachments as well as documents you might throw over to it over wifi.

It’s been a few months now since we changed the theme but it’s still simplistic, and doesn’t quite look the way I want it too, plus it was uploaded and implemented in a time when the site was on a bad web server, and under different leadership. Which leads me with few options.

When it comes to browsing around the world the iPhone is a great contender, allowing you to view the web, emails or even chat on MSN if you need to, but sometimes it just isn’t enough to be browsing on your phone.

It seems we’re awash with good news today, earlier on we had the Tesco Clubcard app and now finally we have the long awaited official Starbucks finder application. The app includes a store finder, a drink builder and nutritional information and works in the UK , Canada and the US.
We’re still waiting for the official Starbucks Card application like they have in the US but it’s a great start!
